1. SCHOOL UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE
School uniform should always be clean and neat. The correct uniform is to be worn at all times during school hours and other days that may be prescribed as official school days. To know more of our prescribed uniform, please click here.
2. SCHOOL LEADERS (PREFECTS)
2.1. Members are selected on a yearly basis. To become a leader, one should have leadership abilities which require certain responsibilities. A leader could be relieved of his/her responsibilities when found guilty of misbehaviour.
2.2. Responsibilities and duties of school leaders / Prefects:-
- Keeping general school discipline
- Fostering loyalty towards the school
- Fostering among the pupils, a spirit of mutual respect, good manners and general civility
- Assist the principal to implement school policy, rules of conduct and cleanliness
3. SCHOOL HOURS
Grade 1 - 7 Starts: 07H15
Grade R - 2 Closes: 12H30
Grade 3 Closes: 13H00
Grade 4 - 7 Closes: 13H30
- Grade 1 - 3 learners must be collected at 13H00
- All learners from Grade 4 - 7 can only be collected at 13H30 except when there is special information given to parents through the newsletter.
- No child will be allowed to be at school after 14H00 because of security reasons, unless there is a pre-arranged school activity. All learners must be collected and taken home between 13H30 and 14H00.
- Parents will be responsible for the telephone expenses, if their child is left at school after 14H00. This will be billed to the parent’s account.
- There will be activity periods for extra circular activities for all grades on Tuesdays up to 13H30.
4. GENERAL RULES AND BEHAVIOUR OF LEARNERS
4.1. Greet staff and friends wherever you meet each other.
4.2. When speaking to an adult, stand-up straight, hands at sides and not in pockets.
4.3. Do not interrupt while people are having a conversation, stand quietly and you will be noticed.
4.4. Treat the cleaning staff in a courteous manner.
4.5. Always greet visitors at the school and if necessary, ask if you may be of any help.
4.6. After arriving at school in the morning, learners must put down their cases in their rows and go to the playground.
4.7. Learners are not allowed to leave premises without permission.
4.8. Nobody is allowed to play in the area around the administrative block or between the teachers’ vehicles.
4.9. Classrooms must be kept tidy at all times.
4.10. The playground must be kept clean.
4.11. No scribbling on desks is permitted.
4.12. Learners may not leave classrooms unnecessarily or without permission during lesson times.
4.13. No stone throwing is allowed.
4.14. No chewing gum may be chewed
